Tasting notes: "Rich and plush, the 2017 Cote Rotie La Belle Helene is a full-bodied, hedonistic example of the appellation. Black cherries, espresso, cedar and dark chocolate notes dominate the nose and palate, framed by ripe, velvety tannins. This shows impressive power and concentration allied to generosity, texture and length, making it a true powerhouse" - Wine Advocate
About the winery: It was in 1997 that Stephane Ogier joined the family estate, rooted for seven generations on the hillsides of Ampuis. After studying viticulture and oenology in Beaune, Stephane left home to work with some of the best winemakers in Burgundy and abroad. By taking over from his father Michel, he chooses to do specific work on his different terroirs to reveal the uniqueness of these places full of history.
