Tasting notes: Henri Giraud is the president of the association of craftsmen Ratafia in Champagne. Hence, he is committed to produce and bottle only the best. This Ratafia is made from a 20-year-old Solera, which gives it a slightly oxidizing side reminiscent of Madeira. There is a perfect balance between sweet and acidity.
About the winery:
This noble wine estate dates from 1625 and is now run by the twelfth generation in the person of Claude Giraud. The house deliberately opts for a modest production (barely 300,000 bottles per year) and thus, offers one of the most exclusive champagnes in the region.
