Wine Region: Burgundy - France
Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting notes: "Due to be bottled the week after I tasted it, the 2017 Bourgogne offers up pretty aromas of flowers, ripe berries and sweet soil. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, satiny and charming, with more flesh on its structural bones than when I tasted it in the spring. It will be irresistible in its youth." - William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
About the winery:
Domaine Claude Dugat, founded in 1955, is widely considered one of the best producers in Gevrey-Chambertin. The six hectares of vineyard, cultivated without chemical fertilizers or weedkillers, deliver only a small quantity of bottles: the demand is so high that there is no more wine to sell at the property. Claude Dugat wines have the finesse, depth and persistence of great Pinot Noirs.
