Grape: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot
Tasting notes: With notes of blackberry, the nose of the 2005 vintage is complex, fresh with notes of spices, nutmeg, and white pepper. In the mouth, a beautiful tannic structure leads us to a long and elegant finish.
About the winery: This 41-hectares estate was bought by Guy Tesseron in 1960. The terroir includes three types of soil: limestone, marl, and clay. Today, Lafon Rochet is experimenting with organic and biodynamic farming techniques for a clean and rare treat.
