Tasting notes: "Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Grand-Pontet has a nose of baked raspberries, kirsch and blackberry preserves with nuances of dried roses, incense and dried leaves. Medium-bodied, the palate is soft, lively and juicy fruited, with uncomplicated flavors and nice balance." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate
About the winery: In 1980, Chateau Grand Pontet changed owners: it passed into the hands of a family company, with management assured by Sylvie Pourquet-Becot, since 2000. In one piece and 35 years on average, the vineyard covers 14 hectares of predominantly limestone soil, a few steps from the collegiate church of Saint-Emilion.
